Clicker training uses fun and games to teach your family companion manners. Gentle and effective clicker training is fun for both of you.
Kind Hearts Behavior Center is unique in using clicker training as its foundation tool. The sound of the clicker or of a single word such as "Yes" serves as a 'marker' to let your dog know that her behavior is exactly right and that a tasty treat will soon follow. Food is used both as a 'lure' to guide your dog to the correct behavior and also as a reward for a job well done. Both the clicker and the food-lure are phased out as soon as the verbal cue obtains the behavior you want. Dogs trained in this manner become happy, responsive companions.
Instructors at Kind Hearts use positive, rewarding techniques based on sound learning theory. Dogs learn by being shown what to do rather than by being forced.
