Gulf Neurology Center offers professional services to the South Alabama and neighboring gulf coast communities in Florida and Mississippi.

Gulf Neurology (Premier Health Systems, Inc.) office is centrally located in Mobile, Alabama. Gulf Neurology Center is staffed and directed by Dr. Ilyas A. Shaikh, MD. Our Neurology clinic is different by the fact that in addition to office consultation, we offer urgent care services in Neurological Disorders including IV treatments and onsite patient observation for non-critical cases to save you a trip to the hospital. You must be our established patient or referred by your primary physician to use our urgent care service.

Dr. Shaikh brings sound knowledge and many years of experience in management of Neurological disorders to this office including:

Gulf Neurology Center offers the optimal patient care and all possible relevant diagnostic testing is performed under one roof.

We have state of the art equipment for diagnostic testing:

NCV and EMG (Neuro-muscular Disorders),
Evoked Potentials (MS & Neuromuscular)
ENG/VNG (Dizziness)

We have excellent Vascular Lab operated by Dr. Bryan Herrington, where you can get CAROTID DOPPLER, ARTERIAL DOPPLER, VENOUS DOPPLER, TRANSCRANIAL DOPPLER

We depend on local providers for CT, MRI and other neuroimaging scans. To obtain the best image possible for best diagnostic impression we partner with our patients and they may be sent to the best place possible and available. You know it's 2010 and technology has no limit.
We accept all non-HMO private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and Cash patients.
