Rosen Harwood, P.A., one of the largest and oldest law firms in West Alabama, serves as a full-service firm consisting of attorneys who focus in various practice areas, including litigation, employment law, business law, and commercial practice. Firm Heritage
Rosen Harwood, P.A. was formed as Rosen and Harwood in 1967 by Gordon Rosen and R. Bernard Harwood, Jr. (Justice, Alabama Supreme Court, retired). George S. Wright (United States Bankruptcy Judge, retired) soon joined the firm and the name was changed to Rosen, Wright and Harwood. The firm has also included Armistead Selden (deceased, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives and Ambassador to New Zealand), Carl W. Albright, Jr. (deceased, former president of The First National Bank of Tuskaloosa, which became AmSouth Bank, now merged into Regions Bank) and David Carroll (vice president and counsel for Hunt Refining Company). Recently Judge Harwood returned to the firm at which time the firms former name of Rosen, Cook, Sledge, Davis, Shattuck & Oldshue, P.A. was changed to Rosen Harwood, P.A.
