Alred Marina is located on the Tennessee River at mile marker 357.4 in northeast Alabama. The marina has been in its present location for over 50 years. A major renovation began in 1996, and features all floating docks, mostly covered and of varying sizes.
Alred Marina houses the only major repair facility between Knoxville, Tennessee and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Even if everything is humming in the engine room, boaters will want to know about Alred Marina and the amenities close by. Boaters will be delighted by the modern ship store that, includes boat accessories, parts, a nautical gift shop, clothing, river charts, maps, and convenience store. Also provided are a picnic area, laundry room and bathhouses.
Directions by water:
We are located @ Tennessee mile marker 357.4 downriver from the George S. Houston Highway Bridge. When traveling down river turn right at the first green buoy below bridge and follow channel markers to the marina. When traveling up river turn left after the last island before the bridge and follow channel markers to the marina (see Lush Creek on river chart).
Directions by land:
From downtown Guntersville take U.S. Hwy 431 North for 2.5 miles. Go past Airport on right and turn left on Bakers Chapel Road. Follow signs to the marina.
