After receiving my doctoral degree in systematic theology in 2003, I became interested in photographing church architecture for my classroom lectures. My interest in photography grew from there and I began studying portraiture and composition. I completed the Certificate of Photography at the University of South Alabama in 2006; I now enjoy teaching theology at Spring Hill College and photography for USA's Special Education division in addition to running my own private studio.
I am currently a full time pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and serve at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Strangely enough, ministry and photography seem to go hand in hand for me. I am currently doing on-location and special events photography by special appointment only--scatterjoyphoto@aol.com
