A Preferred Womens Health Centers are committed to offering women and their families complete and confidential abortion care. Devoted to women and their unique healthcare needs, our staff provides innovative reproductive medical services in each of our new, state of the art facilities.
Abortion Pill and other No Surgery options
Our abortion clinics offer early pregnancy termination with the abortion pill. The medical abortion is recommended to women who are in their early stages of pregnancy. Some women who are 9 weeks or less find this a good alternative to the surgical procedure.

Surgical abortion with gentle dilation and suction is available as early as the 5th week of pregnancy and up to the 20th week in our NC offices. A variety of sedative and anesthesia techniques are used to minimize any discomfort during the surgical abortion.

Emergency contraception is available at all our abortion clinics. ECP also known as the morning after pill is available to women up to 24 hours after unprotected sex. Please us immediately if you have any questions.

Our abortion clinics are conveniently located to women in NC, SC, GA, VA and TN. We offer modern, safe abortion services in Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC and Augusta GA. With years of shared cumulative experience, our all-female nursing and counseling staff members are well equipped to provide personal, compassionate care, with respect and dignity, especially deserved by all women seeking reproductive healthcare.
Organizations and Certifications
A Preferred Womens Health Center has been a member of the National Abortion Federation since 1998. All National Abortion Federation facilities are held to high standards of patient care and are required to undergo intensive training and site evaluations in order to remain a member of this national organization. We are licensed by the NC Division of Facility Services as well as having CLIA certification.

We offer financial assistance through a special program with the National Abortion Federation to help reduce abortion costs. Reduced rates are always available to women in our military, students and women with a Medicaid card.
