Are you: Buying a Home? Selling your Home? Own a Home? Planning on Building a New Home?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, Alabama Professional Home Inspection Services (APHIS), Inc. offers a home inspection program for you.
Buying or Selling a Home? Any home being purchased or sold should have a home inspection by a licensed home inspector. Even new homes may have structural or mechanical problems that can be revealed by a home inspection. The purchaser will know the condition of the home being purchased. The seller will increase the home's marketability and can eliminate last minute repairs that may slow down the selling process.
Own a New Home? If you bought your home within the last year, your builder's warranty is about to expire. A maintenance home inspection will help you identify defects and problems that are covered under your warranty, saving you the the expense of repairs later.
Owned Your Home Several Years? Chances are, your home suffers from a neglect of routine maintenance. A maintenance home inspection can help you identify minor problems before they become major repair expenses.
Planning on Building a New Home? With new construction home inspections, you can be assured your home is being built to your specifications and that it meets all relevant building codes.

Existing Home Inspection! Your home inspection will be an evaluation of the home's condition by Don Combest, a trained professional home inspector. The home inspection will normally take 2-3 hours for the average size home. A home inspection does not eliminate all of the dangers of purchasing a home, but normally the home inspector will identify problems that the consumer would not. The home inspector is also able to identify the positive features of your new home. You are encouraged to be present during the inspection. Often, you can use the home inspection as an educational tool to learn more about how a home is constructed, proper operation and preventative maintenance measures.
Home Maintenance Inspection! The home maintenance inspection is not as detailed as an existing home inspection, but rather focuses on the condition of components of a home that require routine maintenance. Don, your home inspector will normally spend from 1-2 hours on your home maintenance inspection and will provide you a complete list of findings and recommendations. You are strongly encouraged to be present during the inspection.
New Construction Home Inspections! APHIS offers a variety of new construction home inspection programs that can be tailored to your specific needs. These range from basic construction stage inspections to full management of the construction process.
