An Equipping School in the local church -- what a dynamic ministry! Jesus gave the leadership ministries in Ephe­sians 4:11 for the equipping of believers for the work of the ministry. In the late 1960s, I watched from afar a godly work in
Portland, Oregon, as a local church developed a residential school and college within a local church. It was and still is a success. I felt Gods inspiration from their example. A dream was conceived.

Our vision is to provide equipping in prepara­tion for completing Jesus call on each of our lives. This includes His calling at home, at school, at work, and in the neighborhood, as well as in the church. Some training is taught, and some is caught by being among godly people and by being under a mentor. We learn physical skills, knowledge, and Holy Spirit revelation in order to be obedient to God.

Our vision is an equipping school where training is done in a Holy Spirit atmosphere, where the Spirit of God is al­lowed to flow out of each heart and life. Training involves study, mentoring, interaction, and impartation. Lamad learning (the Hebrew word) involves interaction and personal encounter with Jesus, the living truth. We offer general and specialized classes. These are at a lower cost and at an academic level where everyone may benefit.

Classes can be studied on an individual level through personal mentoring or in a classroom setting. Classes may be done for self-growth (audit) or to progress toward a certificate or diploma. This is a way to measure progress through accountability to preset standards.
Eagle-Lion is a non-academic, non-Ohio Board of Regents institution. We award diplomas, not degrees, reflecting this distinction.
The objective is not to take classes but to be orientated, fruitful, to excel and reproduce in the purpose (destiny) of God for you. We exhort you to pour your gifting into your purpose.

The faculty consists of local Christian leaders and translocal faculty from many places. Our main campus is at
1550 Richland Road, Marion, Ohio, USA. Eagle Christian College and Eagle-Lion Institute (a network of related equipping schools) are a toolbox to help the leaders equip their people and to equip God-fearing people for their destinies in Christ.
