SDI teaches everything from beginning diver to assistant Instructor.
An Open Water or beginner certification is considered your "license to learn". You really become a diver by experience and there is no better way to gain experience than by participating in additional training. Most Continuing education courses require minimal academic work and no pool work. Training is accomplished by doing what all divers love to do, GO DIVING!

The DAN Emergency Hotline Has a New Number:
1-919-684-9111
Just in case you havent heard by now, the DAN Emergency Hotline has a new number: +1-919-684-9111. The new number consolidates the multiple numbers previously offered for various types of emergencies; divers now can call one number for both diving and non-diving (TravelAssist) emergencies, and DAN medics will triage the call to get you the assistance you need.
The emergency hotline is still available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please update your emergency response information, and spread the word to every diver you know!
