Are you searching for a group of happy people…who love God and one another? …who will follow the bible as their only creed? …who will treat you as an equal? …and who are free from human religious doctrines and restrictions? If so, then consider this as your special invitation to come and meet with us. We at Somerville Road are striving to do the Lord’s will to the best of our ability. We want to be simply a church that is of Christ, a group of Christians that are dedicated to worshipping God and doing His work exactly as He instructs in His word which is the Bible. If following the Bible as a guide to please God is appealing to you, then we are sure you would be happy to meet with us.
We believe that the Bible teaches that each local congregation is self-governing and independent of any other local congregation, organization’s rule or oversight. We also believe that the Lord adds those to the church who have obeyed the gospel (Acts 2:36-47). Once an individual is a member of the church, we believe the Bible teaches that not only should they incorporate the principles of Christian living but also that all Christians should assemble regularly to worship God, edify the Christian brethren and be individually encouraged thereby.
If you are interested in pure, simple New Testament Christianity or tired of denominational confusion and division, then come and be with us. We are simply Christians, without being associated with any denomination. You can be too!!
