Premier Structures, Inc., has been a leading General Contractor in North Alabama since 1987. Premier Structures offers construction management services for clients that require necessary communications, scheduling, budgeting and overall management between general contractors, architects, and subcontractors. This service is an advantage in keeping the clients best interests and budget the main focus.

Premier Structures has added, in 2007, to it’s diversity in design build, Medical and Dental office design and construction.

With the added advantage of our Computer Aided Drafting Department, we are able to deliver 3d models and renderings for presentation and conceptual drawings to our clients. Our in-house design team has been developed to make our projects more cost efficient and relevant to the needs of our customers. This aspect of our operation also allows our customers to occupy their new buildings in a “Fast Track” time frame.

Premier Structures also employs its own erection and forming crews to better expedite the building process.

““In business since 1986, Premier Structures does general contracting, commercial construction and industrial construction.
“We do conventional construction and metal buildings, new construction, additions and remodeling,” says Helen Evans, co-owner of Premier Structures along with her husband, William Evans.
A few of the major projects completed by Premier Structures include Champion Chevrolet-Oldsmobile; Catfish Cabin’s remodeling and addition; Dr. Joe Cannon’s Imaging Center on Highway 72 East; Conquest GMC Trucks in Greenbrier; the Mack dealership; Thomas Townhouses; the medical complex across from Athens-Limestone Hospital; the Texaco station at Highway 72 and Cloverleaf; and the former Pasquale’s, now Casa Blanca.
Premier Structures also built the new Ross Breeders facility in Elkmont last year; Sid Suggs State Farm Insurance; new structures for Melco Lumber; and the Salem Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center.
“Before he went into business for himself,” says Helen, “my husband was for many years vice president of the metal building division for J.T. Schrimsher Construction Company of Huntsville.”
“We branched out on our own in 1986, and since then we’ve grown from two to 28 permanent employees. We do a lot of work in Huntsville and Madison, but we also like to concentrate on Athens. We want to serve Limestone County.”
“Lately, we’ve also been getting a lot of work in Decatur, now that the area is opening up.”
Helen says Premier Structures has also recently been licensed to work in Mississippi and Tennessee.
Premier Structures, Inc., is located at 2311 South Hine Street in the Industrial Park, in headquarters built in 1989. Next door is the Birdie Thornton Center, the first building Premier ever built. Recently, the Center bought additional property from Premier and contracted with them for an addition.
Premier Structures has in-house computerized drafting and accounting, and computer-aided estimating. Premier Structures belongs to the Athens-Limestone Chamber of Commerce and the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.””
