For the Spring Concert Series, Bay Shore Ballet Theatre will present the beloved fairy tale classic, Hansel & Gretel, at the Fairhope Civic Center on Saturday, April 9th, at 2:00 p.m and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 10, at 3:00 p.m.
About Bay Shore Ballet Academy
Since its inception in 1997, the Bay Shore Ballet Theatre has showcased guest artists and principals of the Company along with aspiring students of the Academy. The Theatre has presented an array of full-length, beloved classics including Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Coppelia, The Sleeping Beauty, La Boutique Fantasque, Peter and The Wolf, Paquita and its well-received annual production of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. The Academy is known for developing technical excellence in young aspiring dancers and encouraging enthusiasm and self-esteem in its students.
Janet Carole, director and former principal ballerina with major U.S. and Canadian professional companies, stages the grand scale productions with more than 60 dancers and performers from many southwest Alabama communities, including Gulf Shores, Foley, Robertsdale, Silverhill, Bay Minette, Daphne, Fairhope and Mobile.
The performances come to life with the elaborate sets and scenery provided by Leanne Pearson Scenic Design and feature work of the late master scenic artist, William Loyed, and the expertise of professional lighting designer Will Dobson.
